Prerequisite: None
Instructor Jacey Gorman
Monday & Wednesday evenings 6-8:30 pm.
August 18 through October 13. No class on Labor Day.

Class limited to 6 students
Registration: $50
If registration is open, placement is likely but not guaranteed. Any student not placed will be added to the programs wait list in the order of the earliest registration. Given this, registration may not open to the general public every semester. Placement is generally confirmed within three (3) business days of registration.
Tuition: One (1) payment of $490 or (2) monthly payments installments of $269. Payment in full saves 10%.
Tuition will be billed once placement is confirmed. Billing is due Net 30 from the invoice date.

This class is perfect for beginner students who want to focus on building their wheel skills. Beginner students will learn fundamentals like wedging, centering, opening, pulling, and trimming, as well as learn how to troubleshoot common problems. You will progress from basic cylinders to more involved forms like tumblers, mugs, bowls, vases, and taller vessels. This course will also cover glazing and surface design.

Students are welcome to bring snack and drinks but are asked to take any food trash with them at the end of class. Empty and clean recyclable containers may be left behind.
Students should wear clothing they don’t mind getting dirty.
Clay tools and 25 lb. Clay included with tuition. Additional clay may be purchased for $30 per bag.
As students master skills at their own pace, multiple sessions may be required to learn all beginner/intermediate skills.
Student work is fired to Cone 6.
