The Creative Futures Scholarship champions creativity by creating opportunity. Established by Foothills Arts Council, Inc. (dba Foothills Arts Center), the fund provides access to arts education and creative development for people of all backgrounds. Scholarships offer financial support for semester-long courses or reduced/free studio space, helping both emerging and established makers and artists grow their skills and expand their creative vision.
By removing financial barriers, the Creative Futures Scholarship ensures that the time-honored traditions of craft and the evolving language of the visual arts continue to inspire future generations. Priority is given to individuals residing in Surry, Yadkin, and Wilkes Counties who demonstrate a commitment to sharing their knowledge and creativity within their communities. Together, we’re shaping a future where art and craft thrive in every pair of hands.
Who Scholarships Are For
Students demonstrating financial need who wish to deepen their art education.
Emerging artists seeking to advance technical skills or explore new mediums.
