A 12-week acting workshop held Saturdays at 1 pm, beginning in January.

This course is recommended for anyone interested in pursuing a professional acting career. Subjects explored will include scene study, cold reading, expression, improvisation, method acting, breathing techniques, preparing for the acting trade, agent hunting, dealing with rejection, and more.

Refashioned Garment w/ Jane Robb

Spend the day designing your unique garment from clothes that have seen a past. This fashion friendly day will consist of designing, cutting and free-form sewing your tunic style garment. You will provide the button style top and all other materials, use of equipment, and lunch is included in the workshop fee.

Continuous Strand Weaving on a Small Loom

This afternoon course will cover everything you need to know and have you weaving squares for a scarf or project of your choice. Instruction, loom and materials are included in course fee.

Beginning Weaving

Friday, December 10, 12:30 pm to Sunday, December 12, 5:00 pm

With the intention of functioning as an ‘on ramp’ to the craft of weaving, this introductory course offers new students the opportunity to begin their study. Through weaving a rayon scarf, the beginning weaver will have an introduction to a four-harness loom while learning vital weaving skills including reading a draft, planning projects, preparing the loom, and how to weave.

Beginning Weaving Rag Rug Style

Monday, January 3 to Monday, March 14, 5:30 - 9:00 pm

This weekly course is designed for the beginning student who would like to learn how to weave on a weekly schedule. The course will focus on the rag rug style of weaving and the basics learned can be applied to other weaving projects. Terminology, how to plan a project and the process of setting up a loom and weaving will be covered in this course.

Friday, January 7, 1:00 pm to Sunday, January 9, 3:00 pm

Connect with the past and design for the future using this versatile structure. Using one warp, students will begin with traditional pattern treadling and advance to more varied structures, including honeycomb and boundweave. Learn how to keep track of pattern treading without a draft, how to use color to create depth, and how to adapt overshot designs for your own use.
