We have been honored many times by generous local donations and foundation and state grants that recognize our ability to build community and educate through the arts.

We have also received two significant national awards:

Selected by American Composers Forum to be Maine's site for Continental Harmony 2000, their national millennium celebration composer commissioning project. Cited by ACF during and after the project as being one of the top four of their 55 projects, based on achieving the goals of involving the community in the composition and performance of a piece that celebrates our region's heritage and land.

Featured in "Acts of Achievement: The Role of Performing Arts Centers in Education," published in October 2003 by the Dana Foundation, the Association of Performing Arts Presenters, and The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
